Ipswich Basketball Club has another huge reason to celebrate as England u16 Boys Head Coach Simon Fisher announced his squad to take to Estonia for the European Championships in August, as England have not one but two Tomcats in the team.

The senior Tomcats held an open trial back in February to gauge the interest of players within the region to play for the senior men’s team. While we were able to select committed players from the initial open trial, many potential players who could strengthen the current selection, were still actively engaged in their respective playing commitments either with national league clubs outside the region or with their own local league clubs.

The England u15 boys won the international tournament in Copenhagen at the weekend.

This is wonderful news and we are justifiably VERY proud of Ben’s achievements, firstly for being named captain of the team and then to go on and WIN the tournament.

On Sunday 30 May, the Suffolk under 17 squad which boasted nine Ipswich Tomcats players, competed in the East region Inter-County Tournament at Queens school in Bushy, Herts.
